Li-ion batteries of SAFT will be used in satellites of NPO PM production

JSC “ISS – Reshetnev Company” intended to use the modern Li-ion batteries of SAFT (France) in spacecrafts production. The appropriate memorandum was signed on April, 3 between the leaders of the Companies in the presence of Ambassador of France in the Russian Federation, Mr. Stanislase de Laboulaye.

Memorandum of mutual understanding foresees the agreement conclusion on delivery the modules of Li-ion batteries for the spacecrafts, that will be manufactured on the perspective platform “Express-1000H” of JSC “ISS – Reshetnev Company” production. The main advantage of the batteries is high reliability. They will be first used in power-supply systems of “ISS – Reshetnev Company” production.

The meaning of the signed document was evaluated by Philippe Jehanno, the General Director of SAFT Company. He said: “It is the beginning of long history in cooperation with your company, and I am convinced that we will obtain good results, taking into account the quality and the level of our interaction.”
