Reshetnev ISS Completed Gonets-M Tests
Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems completed acceptance tests of Gonets-M N°2 intended for multifunctional personal satellite system GONETS-D1M.
Three months were spent to test proper functionality and integrity of the satellite system operations. ISS experts began preparing Gonets-M for shipment to the space port, which is planned for Dec.
Gonets-M spacecraft are to maintain communication and data transmission, including e-mailing. The satellites also provide fax and telex transmission, positioning of the GPS/GLONASS user terminals. In addition, the spacecraft collect data from various sensors and detectors.
